Lopez de Haro
This winery can be found in San Vicente de la Sonsierra, one of the towns with the highest viticulture tradition in the Rioja Alta. This wine is a coupage of Tempranillo and Graciano grapes grown on old vines with a low yield; planted on the smooth hills along the Ebro River. After being harvested by hand the grapes are vinified in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged in French oak barrels and in American oak barrels for 20 months and then a minimum of two years in the cellar before being released.
Powerful nose with primary aromas of ripe fruit accompanied by complex spicy and balsamic notes and a slight touch of vanilla. Balanced on the palate with ripe and sweet tannins.
